HISTORY

The owner of the company has been involved in the door industry since early childhood, when at the age of fourteen went to work for his dad who was part owner of another door company here in R.I.

After graduating from high school, he spent some time in the military traveling the world, and upon an honorable discharge having completing his tour of duty, went home and back into the door business, having worked for a few other companies as a sub-contractor gaining a great wealth of experience over a period of some twenty plus years, he started his own company.

In 1982 the Ocean State Overhead Door Co. was established, and has been serving Rhode Islanders in their door needs ever since, with a brief pause in the mid-nineties where when the owner got saved (born again, biblically,) (through tragic events) and a new era in the companies history began, for the better.
